All You Magazine Giveaway - CLOSED
I entered a giveaway at Womanly Excellence about a week ago and on my birthday won a subscription to All You Magazine to give away to one of my readers! That was an unexpected birthday gift! Most of you know, but for those of you who don't, All You Magzine is sold exclusively at Walmart and each monthly issue is full of coupons and savings advice.
So, here are the many different ways you can enter. (1 entry for each of these and please leave a separate comment for each and a contact email on at least one of your entries) The entries do not have to be in any particular order just whichever ones you feel like doing!
This contest will end April 30.
1. Let me know you are a subscriber to my blog, Once Upon A Qpon.
2. Follow my blog.
3. Blog about this giveaway and leave a link in your comment.
4. Follow me on twitter @onceuponaqpon.
5. Tweet about this giveaway and leave a link in your comment.
6. Subscribe to Womanly Excellence, leave a comment saying so.
7. Follow Womanly Excellence, leave a comment about that.
8. Follow Womanly Excellence on twitter, leave the link to your twitter home page.
9. Last but not least: I am in the process of learning how to redesign my site. I have picked a couple of ideas and would like to know your thoughts. So, even if you do not typically leave comments to win a giveaway, at least leave one giving me your opinion on the following pictures below. If you have any other suggestions or tips for me as I do this please leave them in this comment. Since the name of my site is Once Upon A Qpon, I've been thinking of themes with castles, princesses etc. I welcome honest opinions!
Ideas: stay with 2 column or go with 3?

Good luck and Thank You!

Now the hard part.
ReplyDeleteI really like the 3 column part of the 1st blog template. I think 3 columns are great because you don't have to scroll down so far to see everything on your page.
But I love the scroll look of the 2nd one.
I'm not big on the 3rd style.
I'm very visual so I can't picture how the pink castles would look.
I guess maybe I'm not much help, but I think you have some great ideas!!
Can't wait to see the finished product.
Hi...I'm following. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the pink castle is really cute and goes really well with your blog name. Also, you have so much in your sidebar, I think you'd benefit from 3-column. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a Once upon a qpon subscriber.

I like the format with the scroll; important info in the center, it just looks less cluttered. I like the recipes in this particular magazine.
ReplyDeleteI subscribe via email, thanks for the chance!

I really like the second option for your blog. The format looks very easy to read, and I like the way that the posts and the links are differentiated. When I'm reading something online, I appreciate a darker text on a lighter background, but sometimes black text on a white background can be visually overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteceevegnashville [at] gmail [dot] com
I think you should go to a 3 column and use the pink castles!

I like the simplicity of the last blog photo! I think simplicity is always key in blogs - so the text can be focused upon.

ReplyDeleteI like the blog design that is second from the bottom. It has great colors, a magical feel, and it very pretty. I am in a two column right now and I SO would make it three if I knew how, so I would say to use the three columns to get the most out of your real estate.

ReplyDeletei'd stay with 2 columns

It's nice seeing all 3 options and being able to compare. I like the 3 column style the best. Especially if a blog is loaded w/ photobucket and other stuff it makes scrolling easier.

I think your princess castle design is fun. The sparkles are so cute!

Hi- I'm new to this. If I subscribed- does that mean I follow now?
ReplyDeleteBTW- I like the pink castles. They seem more fun. The scrolls are more serious, but more literary. Good luck! :-)

ReplyDeleteThe castles are a great design. I personally prefer the 2nd button, since I'm not into sparklies, but they're both nice. The scroll design for the page seems appropriate. My only concern for you would be to make sure your color scheme is coordinated to give your blog a unified look; the pink castles don't mesh well with the serious scroll. Maybe if the scroll looked more "cartoony" & lighthearted? Best wishes on your redesign!
ReplyDeleteI am subscribed! Thanks!
