Yoplait Greek Yogurt Giveaway

With 12 grams of protein, the new Yoplait Greek is a nourishing treat for the mind and soul. Available in four delicious flavors, Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla and Plain, the brand´s newest offering has a unique thick and creamy texture with the unmatched taste expected of Yoplait.

To celebrate its new Greek yogurt, Yoplait has teamed up with actress Izabella Miko, who plays Greek Goddess Athena in the epic adventure new Warner Bros. Pictures´ and Legendary Pictures´ film "Clash of the Titans," in theatres April 2 in 3D.

I recently received 2 coupons for free Yoplait Greek yogurt from My Blog Spark and my kids decided on the honey vanilla flavor.
They love vanilla yogurt and one son in particular loves honey so that flavor is a winner! I also received a "Nourish Your Inner Goddess" gift pack, which included some great items for relaxation.

MyBlogSpark has generously offered an additional gift pak to give away to one of my readers which includes 2 VIP coupons for free yogurt.(*This coupon offer for a free cup of Yoplait Greek yogurt is not valid in some states, including California, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Tennessee.)

Time 4 Learning: A Review

Last month, our family was given the chance to try out 30 days of working on the computer at time4learning.
The purpose of the review was to take a look at their newly released pre-k program.
They loved it! Since Redd is already reading and Rusty has recently began reading the program was more fun for them than educational but a nice change of pace since the pre-k section was easy to navigate and they were rewarded a big check on the subject each time they finished a section.
The pre-k level is divided into two parts.
Section 1 includes:
•School Supplies
•Alphabet
•Colors
•Shapes
•Rhyme Time
•Numbers
•Weather
•On the Farm
•Food
•At the Zoo
•Feelings
•Vehicles
•Tools
•On the Playground
•Sports
•The Human Body
•Space
•Fruit
•The Human Face
•Garden

Section 2 includes:
•At the Library
•Insects
•Color Mixing
•Seasons
•Playing Outside
•More Letters
•Healthy Habits
•Your Self
•More Numbers
•Out to Sea
•More Rhymes
•Staying Fit
•Manners
•Pets
•Days of the Week
•Time
•Making Music
•Measuring
•Nature
•Money
•In Your Neighborhood

Each subject is approached from several angles: storytime, showtime, patterns, ordering, puzzles, etc.
Our favorite was the insect section which has a great duet between a cricket and a butterfly.

Elijah also liked the music section and has been going around the house singing 'Vibration'!

There are also a few opportunities for the kids to click and drag which was something they hadn't done before!

Time 4 Learning generally runs for $19.99 for the 1st child and $14.95 for each additional child. At the moment this is a little expensive for our budget but as they grow into the older grades it would be more feasible.

The site features a lesson plan section, getting started guide, forum, a hints section, and you can email or call and receive prompt feedback and friendly customer service.

Competing for computer time has become comical at out house!

Wednesday, April 14th:
The Sinking of the Titanic (PDF ebook)
Today is the 98th anniversary of the sinking of what was then
the largest and finest steamship in the world; on her maiden voyage,
loaded with a human freight of over 2,300 souls, the Titanic collided with
a huge iceberg 600 miles southeast of Halifax, at 11.40 P.M. Sunday
April 14, 1912. She sank two and a half hours later, carrying over
1,600 of her passengers and crew with her. This is a GREAT collection
of first-hand accounts and stories of what happened that fateful night.
Very readable and remarkably stirring history.
Highly recommended!

FamilyMint: A Website Review

Did you know that 18 - 24 year olds are the fastest growing age group filing for bankruptcy and only 5% of adults learned the vital life skill of money management in elementary or high school. Would you like your children to learn money management without the hassle of piggy banks, jars, etc.
If so, you should definitely check out Family Mint. With Family Mint, you and your child can set up an account to keep track of their earnings and savings. Here are some of the other features Family Mint offers:
-Secure individual access controlled by the parent
-Simple and intuitive design interfaces
-Personalize goals and profile pictures
-Set up unlimited goals and track progress for each goal
-Deposit, withdraw and transfer money between accounts
-Track spending and savings over time
-Automate allowance payments
-Encourage savings with motivating interest rates
-Reward deposits to worthwhile goals through matching
-Lock accounts to prevent withdrawal and transfer of funds
-Parents can approve/deny transactions

This reveiw came at a perfect time for us because my 6 and 5 yr. old were getting money for gifts and change from their dad and also a tiny amount for extra jobs around the house and with Family Mint I can help them learn to save, tithe and spend a little!

Go check it out. It's free!

MathScore.com Worksheet Generator

MathScore.com has an awesome worksheet generator.  I reviewed their product awhile back but hadn't taken advantage of this part of their website. You can be very specific about the content of the worksheet and can print a page with answers if necessary. The worksheets include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
While there check out their free trial offer.
My son, Redd does his math drills several times a week on this site and I get a report back about his activities sent to my email address which I can print out for records. Another feature I like is you can adjust the time allowed for each problem depending on your child's speed.

Did you know? In one school year, the average student practices more than 10,000 problems while using their online practice program only one hour per week!
