One of my best ideas ever was to make a double batch of meatloaf- then cook it all at once in 24 muffin cups (tins). They freeze great and you can take out as many as you want. Grab a bag of french fries and a veggie and you're good to go!

Whwn I make muffins or breads, I will make up 2 or 3 so I can freeze some for later use. I also like to make extras on a lot of our meals so I can freeze it and then on a busy night I don't have to worry I can just grab from the freezer and be all set.

ReplyDeleteI like to roast whole turkeys and chickens and put the cooled shredded meat in quart-sized freezer bags. Then when I want to make tacos or soup or anything really that calls for cooked poultry, all I have to do is thaw! Pretty easy really!

Lasagna is really easy to freeze. Another thing, for when your new baby can eat solids, is to puree fruits or veggies and then freeze them in ice cube trays. That way, whenever you need some homemade baby food, but don't have the time to make it, you can just thaw out one of the ice cubes!

My family and I love to freeze corn (cut off the cob so you reserve freezer space), tomato sauce, and cut-up peppers!
