Terrestia Chronicles: A Review

Knights, castles, dragons, swords....words my children (and myself) love to hear!! I have always loved reading tales from this time period and would love one day to visit a real castle. But until then, I'll have to be sastified with being swept away to that time with books like 'The Terrestia Chronicle Series'
I have seen this series of books advertised for some time and was extremely excited to have a chance to read them with my family.

I received the first two books of the series.  Book 1 is The Sword, the Ring and the Parchment (187 pages).  "Young Josiah is a slave to Argamor, the powerful warlord who has plans to seize the throne from King Emmanuel. When Josiah fails in his attempt to escape slavery, Emmanuel not only sets him free forever, but adopts him into the Royal Family. The book presents an unforgettable picture of our salvation and reminds the reader what a wondrous thing it is to be redeemed." Click here to read another excerpt.

In the second book of the series The Quest for Seven Castles (195 pages) we read how "when King Emmanuel sends Prince Josiah on a difficult journey to various castles across the kingdom, the young prince is unprepared for the dangers and temptations that he will face. As Josiah grows in the knowledge of his King and strives to become like him, he learns the importance of following his Book and listening for the voice of the Dove."

I am so appreciative that the Lord has given Ed Dunlop, the author of this series, a gift and and a burden to write quality, Christian literature for our children that encourages the reader to "honor Jesus Christ as King, to challenge young readers to love and serve Him, and to teach them to guard their hearts for Him."
The added bonus to to this series is that there is no magic or wizardry! Older children and adults will enjoy the allegorical concepts while younger children will be delighted with knighthood, noble quests and chilvary!

The books in this 7-book series may be purchased individually for $7.99 each or as a collection for $39.99.
You may buy online or send in a check/money order with this downloadable form. Check out the website for free coloring pages and an awesome free e-book page!
